When surfing the Internet, I came across a list of ordinary people who moved China in 2011. I was especially touched by an old lady from Zhoukou, Henan Province.

The old lady and her husband are homeless, wandering in Shenzhen. Every evening, she sits near Shenzhen University and sells her paintings. When hungry, she just eats several pieces of dry food she carries with her. Usually she can only finish two paintings one night and for each she charges 10 yuan. Though life is tough, the old lady has her pride and refuses to beg money from others.

The old lady teaches me a good lesson. Obviously she knows the value of work. She prefers to go through all hardships rather than lose her sense of pride. Her story puts me to shame，for I always complain that my learning load is heavy and has a habit of depending on others.
