Hi, dear boys and girls! Do you know how to be a healthy kid? Here are some rules you should follow.

First, eat different foods, especially fruit and vegetables. You may have a favourite food, but you’d better eat something different. If you eat different foods, you will probably get more nutrients（营养物质）your body needs.

Second, drink water and milk as often as possible. When you’re really thirsty, cold water is the No. 1 choice. Milk is a great drink that can give you more calcium your body needs to get strong bones.

Third, listen to your body. How do you feel when you are full? When you are eating, notice how your body feels and when your stomach feels comfortably full. Eating too much will not make you feel comfortable and make you fat.

Fourth, limit screen time. Screen time is the time you watch TV, DVDs and videos, or using computers. It’s good to take more exercise such as basketball, bike riding and swimming. You can’t watch TV for more than two hours a day.

The researchers say they only want to tell people how dangerous watching TV for long time is. And they want to find out the relationship between watching TV and life.

Writing in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, they concluded（得出结论）: TV watching time may have something to do with a loss of life.

The researchers, from the University of Queensland, used information from the Australian illnesses and lifestyle study, together with population and death rate data. But they said, “While we used Australian data, the effects in other countries are likely to be comparable（可比较的）. In the UK, the average amount of time spent watching TV is four hours a day compared with five hours in the United States.

Some American researchers said that watching TV for long time can lead premature（过早的）death. Other study suggests that sitting for long can cause overweight and it can also make people take more junk foods.

England’s Chief Medical Officer, Sally Davies, says, “Physical activity offers huge benefits. We hope these studies will help more people realize that there are many ways to get exercise.” Her study shows that exercising for just 15 minutes a day can increase your life by up to three years.

These two popular films were adapted from the novels Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Both of them were written by Lewis Carroll, a famous English writer, who himself was as interesting as his books.

Lewis Carroll was a maths teacher and talented writer. In 1856, he met Henry Liddell and his three lovely daughters. His friendship with the family became an important part of his life over the following years. He liked the girls very much, especially the youngest one, Alice Liddell. He often told stories to make them happy. One day he took the girls to a boat trip. To make the time more enjoyable, he began a story about the adventure of a little girl named Alice in Wonderland. Alice Liddell loved the story and she begged Carroll to write it down for her.
