Dear Andy, I had a fight with my mom this week. She's been making me study all the time. I have some important tests coming up. But instead of studying,I've been hanging out with my friends. The weather has been really nice,so we’re spending a lot of time outside. Yesterday. mv mom started veiling at me. She said that I should be focusing on my studies. So she decided to ground me until summer vacation. It means that I can’t go out to have fun these days. It seems like all I can do is studying. I don't have any time to enjoy my life. Mary |
Dear Mary, I know how you feel. During the past few weeks,I have been really busy studying for my final exams. Sometimes,I hate studying, too. I just want to play with my friends and have fun. However,a few years ago,my cousin taught me a very important lessoa She told me when she was our age,all she did was studying. She said she worked hard when she was young,so she could enjoy her life when she became an adult. Her hard work paid off. She graduated from the best university in America and now she makes lots of money. My cousin encouraged me to work hard now so I can play hard later. Try to think of it that way,Mary. After all,we only have a few years of school left! Andy |
