With the battle against the novel coronavirus pneumonia(新冠肺炎) going on, many have stayed at home for more than a month. Though it may have been relaxing at first, you’re probably fighting back the urge(迫切感) to break through a wall and do, well, anything!
It’s OK. Calm down. You can’t visit many public spaces right now, but you can use your phone immediately to do it virtually(虚拟). Many online entertainment resources have been launched to help stay-at-home visitors have fun free of charge, Xinhua News Agency reported.
Online exhibitions
Last year, the Palace Museum released a program called the Panoramic Palace Museum on its official website. By putting on a virtual reality (VR) headset, people can take a “tour” of the 600-year-old museum, going slowly without a time limit. This means you can explore its halls, gardens and courtyards and learn about the stories behind the exhibits .
“During a field visit to the Palace Museum, it is difficult to visit some hidden places and view all the palace decorations in detail,” Li Bin, a museum lover from Xi’an, told China Daily. “But VR technology has made these experiences possible. It helps me beat the boredom at home.”
According to Xinhua, a total of 30 museums across China have provided similar online exhibitions to people.
Live streamed concert
Chinese video app Bilibili launched a series of music events for stuck-at-home people. The company teamed up with the yearly Strawberry Music Festival to create the Stay at Home Strawberry concert series, with a theme of “Hi, I’m at home too.” The series was live streamed free of charge from Feb 4 to Feb 8, on Bilibili.
During this period, audiences could participate in the website’s bullet chat, sharing comments onscreen in real time.
“Watching online concerts and sharing comments with others can give me a sense of community and fun of being at a large event while being stuck at home and away from friends and coworkers,”Manny, an Bilibili user commented on the website.
So if you feel bored, check out these online resources. Great exhibitions and concerts all belong to you!

根据第3段第2和3句“By putting on a virtual reality (VR) headset, people can take a “tour” of the 600-year-old museum, going slowly without a time limit. This means you can explore its halls, gardens and courtyards and learn about the stories behind the exhibits .(通过戴上虚拟现实耳机,人们可以“参观”这座有600年历史的博物馆,在没有时间限制的情况下慢慢地进行。这意味着你可以探索它的大厅、花园和庭院,了解展品背后的故事。)”可知在虚拟现实参观故宫博物院的过程中,你可以了解展品背后的故事、参观一些隐秘的地方,详细查看所有的宫殿装饰、不受时间限制,慢慢地旅行;但是你不能享受花园里的花香。故选A。
根据下文“But VR technology has made these experiences possible.(但虚拟现实技术使这些体验成为可能。)”可知此句“During a field visit to the Palace Museum, it is difficult to visit some hidden places and view all the palace decorations in detail”句意是:在实地参观故宫博物院的过程中,很难看到一些隐蔽的地方,也很难看到所有的故宫装饰。
根据第7段“During this period, audiences could participate in the website’s bullet chat, sharing comments onscreen in real time.(期间,观众可以参与网站上的弹幕聊天,在屏幕上实时分享评论。)” 根据第6段最后1句“The series was live streamed free of charge from Feb 4 to Feb 8, on Bilibili.(该系列于2月4日至8日在Bilibili免费直播。)”可知“在2月3日你不可以看Bilibili的草莓音乐会”,故B错误;根据第5段“According to Xinhua, a total of 30 museums across China have provided similar online exhibitions to people.(据新华社报道,全国共有30家博物馆向人们提供了类似的网上展览。)”可知“这个名为全景故宫博物院的项目不是唯一的在线展览项目”,故D错误。根据第2段第3句“Many online entertainment resources have been launched to help stay-at-home visitors have fun free of charge, Xinhua News Agency reported.(据新华社报道,为帮助居家游客免费娱乐,许多在线娱乐资源已经推出。)”可知“本文提到的两项活动都是完全免费的。”故C正确,故选C。
【4】细节题。根据第8段“Watching online concerts and sharing comments with others can give me a sense of community and fun of being at a large event while being stuck at home and away from friends and coworkers(观看在线音乐会并与他人分享意见,可以让我在家里和远离朋友和同事的时候感受到参加大型活动的群体意识和乐趣)”可知“她认为参加网上音乐会对她有帮助。”
