【题目】— Don’t feed the animals in the zoo with your own food.

—________. I can buy some food from the zoo if I like next time.

A.Sorry, I won’tB.Don’t mention itC.With pleasure.

【答案】A

【解析】

句意:——不要用自己的食物喂动物园里的动物。 ——对不起,我不会。如果我下次喜欢的话,我可以去动物园买些食物。

考查情景交际。Sorry, I won’t对不起,我不会的。Don’t mention it别提了。With pleasure. 很高兴。根据“I can buy some food from the zoo if I like next time.”如果我下次喜欢的话,我可以去动物园买些食物。可知,此处应该是表达抱歉,因此选择Sorry, I won’t对不起,我不会的。故选A

【题目】 I was walking along a busy road when I noticed a young man standing near the crossing selling toys. Usually I would hurry past such sellers. But I found this young man was blind, I wanted to see how he sold his things. So I stood for some time without crossing the street.

Soon, a young mother with a little girl came by and the child set her eyes on one of the teddy bears. The mother asked about the price and it was only one dollar. She pulled out a 10-dollar note from her handbag and told the young man that she was giving him 10 dollars and wanted the change back. I was wondering how he was going to do it. He told the young mother to put the money in the bag hanging around his neck and take out her change.

I realized that this young man depended on believing people not to cheat him. There was no way for him to know how someone would take out more than they should have. I was so moved. I bought a model car from him that I didn't need. As I walked down the street, I gave the model car to a kid walking with his father.

I kept thinking that the world would be a better place if we could all learn to trust (信任) others more, like the young blind street seller.

【题目】阅读下面的短文,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项补全短文。选项中有一项为多余选项。

Although people everywhere seem to enjoy drinking coffee, they do not all have the same coffee culture. In Europe for example, coffee shops are common places for people to meet friends and to talk while they drink coffee. On the other hand, locations(地点)like this were not as common in North America in the past. 1 The coffee culture in the USA changed when Starbucks coffee shops spread across the country.

2 It was a small coffee shop that roasted (烘烤)its own coffee beans. The coffee shop's business did well, and by 1981 there were three more Starbucks stores in Seattle.

In 1982, the original Starbucks owners hired Schultz as the company's head of marketing. In 1983, Schultz traveled to Italy. The atmosphere(气氛) of the espresso(浓咖啡) bars there caught his eye. Back in the USA, Schultz created an atmosphere for Starbucks coffee shops that was comfortable, and customers everywhere seemed to like it. 3 Then the company opened coffee shops in other countries as well. Today, there are more than 16,000 Starbucks coffee shops worldwide.

4 As a matter of fact, many Starbucks locations have closed over the past few years. In some cases, this is because there were too many coffee shops competing for business in one small area. In other cases, locations in some countries closed because the coffee culture there did not match with the "feel the same everywhere" atmosphere offered by Starbucks.

A.The first Starbucks coffee shop opened in 1971 in downtown Seattle, Washington, in the USA

B.However, that does not mean Starbucks has not had problems

C.Schultz made Starbucks popular all over the world

D.Starbucks began opening more locations across the USA

E.Instead, people in North America preferred to drink coffee in their homes with their friends
