Iarrived in the UK last weekend to learn English. So far I have already made afew friends and had some traditional English food there. But after having threedays of hamburgers, sandwiches and potatoes, I thought none could be moredelicious than Chinese food, especially my favorite —huo guo. You can't imaginehow excited I was when I got to know that there was going to be a free meal ofhotpot to welcome the new students. On the way to the canteen, I seemed tosmell huo guo in the air.
To mysurprise, when I stepped into the room, I didn't see any sign of huo guo. Wherewas it?
With many questions in my head, I sat downto have the free meal. After talking with an English girl, I got to know thatChinese huo guo is completely different from hotpot. Chinese huo guo is writtenin two words-hot pot; and hotpot, one word, is a traditional English dish.
Hotpotis made from mutton and onion. On the top are pieces of potatoes. People put itin the oven all day in a heavy pot on a low heat. It takes very little effortto prepare. You can often see it at parties in the UK because it's easy toprepare for a large number of people and is not expensive.
Hotpotdoesn't taste bad. However, I still miss huo guo-hot pot, two words!

You can't imagine how excited I was whenI got to know that there was going to be a free meal of hotpot可知作者在直到能够吃到火锅之后非常兴奋D项为有她最喜欢的食物,在原文第一段第三句话当中作者提到火锅是她最喜欢的食物,符合题意。
根据第一段第四句there was going to be a free meal of hotpot to welcome the new students. On the way to the canteen, I seemed to smell huo guo in the air.
You can often see it at parties in the UK becauseit's easy to prepare for a large number of people and is not expensive.
I got to know that Chinese huo guo is completelydifferent from hotpot. 所以选A。
