Evelyn Glennie was the first lady of solo percussion in Scotland. In an interview, she talked about how she became a percussion soloist(打击乐器独奏演员)in spite of deafness.

Monday morning is an important time at our school. All of the students go to the playground. We listen to music, and we   16   the national flag go up.

When I was young, I always helped my grandfather in the fields. As I worked beside him, he     to tell a story about a man named Joe, and his wife, who moved to a new farm with their three sons.
