Grandmother Queen Victoria, “Dear Grandmother, I saw very,
very nice wooden horse in a shop yesterday. I love 'it and I
haven't got enough money to buy it. Would you send me

your letter to a bookseller for two pounds. I see how well

Jimmy was a seven-year-old boy. He often got some pocket
money from his parents every week, and he wasted a lot
of it on things what he saw in the stores and suddenly
want to buy, although he didn't need them.
One day his mother gave him an notebook and said.
“Now, Jimmy, whatever you buy anything,
I want you to write down on this notebook, and
write down price, too. Then you can look at it
again because your money's all gone, and you
won't waste so much more money next time.”
After a week, Jimmy told his mother that he would think before he spent the money. His mother was pleased with him.

Three months after I returned U. S. from Germany, I
took part in a college course in the French. Since I had learned
to say German well in Germany, I thought it might be
interested to begin studying another language. At the
first class, the teacher asked us do a pronunciation
exercise, in it he would say a word or two in French
and each student would do his best to imitate. When it
was my turn, he kept having me to say more words and I
finally asked him why. “I find it a great fun,” he
answers. “In 25 years of teaching at school, it's the first
time I've heard an American speak French with a German accent (口音).”

It was fine on April 8st, 1999. That day all the
students in our class went to the village in our city to plant trees.
On arrived at the planting place at 8 o'clock the
teacher asked every of us to plant 5 trees at least. Then
we set out digging. planting and watering. All of us were
going all about to finish our task, afraid of falling
behind. Between us, our monitor set a good example
for us. In spite of his illness he accepted his task and finished it
ahead of the time. Then he went on to help others without rest.
After work, he was wet all over. Looked at the lines of the young
trees, we smiled pleasantly.
A lot of boys and girls in west countries are
wearing the same kind of clothes, and many of whom
have long hair, but it's often difficult to tell whether they
are boys or girls. One day an old man went a walk in a
park in Washington, and when he was tired, he seated
down on a chair by a swimming pool. A young person
was standing on the other sides of the pool. “Oh!” the
old man said to the person sitting next to him on the
chair. “Did you see that person with the loose clothes
and long hair? Is it a boy or a girl?”
“A girl.” said her neighbor. “She is my daughter.” “Oh!”
the old man said fast. “I didn't know you were her mother.”
“I'm not. I'm her father,” said the other person.
