3.Hello everyone,my name is Thomas Suarez.I've always had a(36)A for computers and technology, and I've made a few apps(应用程序)for the iPhone,iPad Touch and iPad.I'd like to (37)Bsome with you today.
My first app was a unique fortune-teller called Earth Fortune, which will display different colors of earth depending on(38)D your fortune was.My (39)C and most successful app is Bustin Jieber.I created it because students disliked this spoof program,so I (40)Ato make the app.
I persuaded my parents to pay the 99-dollar-fee,and my apps are on the app store.I've got a lot of (41)B from my family, friends and even the staff at the Apple Store. And that's been (42)D help to me.I've also got a lot of inspiration from Steve Jobs. After I (43)Dan Apple Club at school,a teacher is(44)C spon-soring my Apply Club.Any student at my school can come and (45)A how to design an app. This is how I can share my (46)C with others.
These programs are called the iPad Pilot Program(试点计划)and I'm (47)B enough to be part of one.A big (48)A is:How should the iPads be used and what apps should we put on the iPads? So we're getting
(49)D from teachers at this school to see what kind of apps they'd like. When we finish designing the app and (50)A it,it will be free to local districts but (51)Bto others. All the (52)C from that will go into the local Education Foundations. This is valuable to (53)D,and educators should recognize this resource and (54)C it.
I'd like to create more apps, more games.(55)B,I'll continue my app club and find other ways for students to share knowledge with others.Thank you.

1.A Disaster Makes a Strong Person
I lost my sight when I was four years old by falling off a box car in a freight(货物)yard in Atlantic City and landing on my head. Now I am thirty-two.I can still (36)A the brightness of sunshine. It would be (37)B to see again, but a (38)C can do strange things to people.I don't mean that I would prefer to go without my eyes.I simply mean that the (39)C of them made me (40)D the more what I had.
Life,I believe, asks a continuous series of adjustments to reality. The more quickly a person is able to make these adjustments, the more (41)C his own private world becomes. The adjustment is never (42)B.I was totally confused and afraid. But I was lucky. My parents and my teachers saw something in me-the (43)D to live-which I didn't see,and they made me want to (44)D against blindness.
The hardest (45)C I had to learn was to believe in myself.I am not talking about simply the kind of (46)B that helps me down an unfamiliar staircase alone. That is part of it.But I mean something bigger than that:the confidence that I am,despite being imperfect,a real,(47)D person; that there is a special place where I can make myself fit.
It took me years to discover and (48)A this confidence. It had to start with the simplest things.Once a man gave me an indoor baseball.I thought he was making fun of me and I was hurt."I can't use this."I said."Take it with you,"he(49)A me,"and roll it around."The words (50)B in my head."Roll it around!"By rolling the ball I could hear where it went. This gave me an idea how to achieve a goal I had thought (51)D:playing baseball. At Philadelphia's Overbrook School for the Blind I (52)A a successful variation of baseball and I called it ground ball.
All my life I have set ahead of me a series of goals and then tried to reach them, one at a time.I had to be clear about my (53)B.It was no good trying for something that I knew at the start was wildly out of reach (54)C that only invited the bitterness of failure.I would (55)Asometimes anyway but on the average I made progress.
