As summer vacation are coming soon, my classmates are trying very hardly to get train tickets to go home. But I have made up my minds to spend the vacation far from home for first time in my life. My parents have agreed to visiting me, and I will have a different vacation. When they came here, I will show them around my university and the city just as well. I have decided to buy them some nice gifts. It will be a big surprising for them. My parents have done a lot for me, but I think it is high time that I did anything special to express my thanks.

Some students believe that whether they have much money or large possessions, they will be happy. They believe that they will be able to do anything they wanted to do if they have money. Some students think that they should be good health, and enjoy whatever they like. Many students wish to have much wealth from their parents. In this way, they don’t have to work hardly and they can own everything. I don’t quite agree on the above points. I don’t think money means happy. We cannot buy much things with money, such as health, happiness and knowledge. I value knowledge, it makes me happy, for I can do a lot of for mankind with knowledge. Maria was afraid that she was going to have to deliver a bad news to her friend Freddy. She was upsetting about the news herself. VII. Proof —reading
Mike called his wife to tell him that he had got two film tickets. He asked her to go and meet him outside the theatre. Mike’s wife is very glad because they hadn’t seen a film for quite long time. She met her husband in the entrance to the cinema. Mike took out his wallet to get the tickets, so they were not there. He then tried his pockets, but the tickets were not there, too. Mike looked very worrying. “What’s the matter?” asked his wife. “Well,” Mike explained, “I remember that I did with them. I put it on the desk and forgot to pick them up before leaving for the office!”

Mr. Johnson is a hardworking teacher. Every day, he spends too much time with his work. With little sleep and hardly any break, so he works from morning till night. Hard work have made him very ill. “He has ruined his healthy. We are worried about him.” That is which other teachers say. Yesterday afternoon, I paid visit to Mr. Johnson. I was eager to see him, but outside her room I stopped. I had to calm myself down. Quietly I step into the room. I saw him lying in bed, looking at some of the picture we had taken together. I understood that he missed us just as many as we missed him.

Last weekend I went to the Summer Palace as usually. At about noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake while suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happening. I was shocking to find a little child struggling in the water in the distance while many people standing by without doing anything. Without any hesitation, I had pushed through the crowd and I took off my coat, but jumped into the water quickly. I managed to reach him and carried him back to safety. To his great relief, the kid was saved.
I was proud what I had done. I wish everyone can give hand when someone else is in need.
