One beautiful spring evening,a hungry wolf went out to look for his supper. He saw a little goat. The goat stood on a steep cliff.

"I must have that goat," the wolf talked to himself. "But how can I reach her?"
"Hello, little goat!" cried the wolf. "It's dangerous there. I'm afraid you will fall."
"Don't worry," said the goat. "I won't fall."
"Please come down here. Don't be afraid of me. I'm a good wolf. I want to play with you. And the grass here is sweet and fresh," the wolf said.
"Thank you," said the goat. "I know you. You are a big bad wolf. You don't want me to eat the grass, and you want to eat me up." Then the clever goat ran far away, and the wolf had no supper.
