     Life is like the four seasons. Now I am very old, but when I was young. it was the spring of my life. I was born,
I played a lot, and then I started school.  I learned many new things. Like a flower, I grew bigger every day. There

     Everyone needs friends. There is an old saying,"Friends are God's way of
taking care of us." But how do you find real friendship and keep it?
     The American writer Sally Seamans tells young students some smart ways tofind friends. Sally says finding friendship is just like planting a tree. You  
plant the seed (种子) and take care of it to make it grow.

     Think back to a time in your life when you tried something new.
     When I was a teenager I volunteered to pass out water at a local race. I was so excited to see all the
different runners who passed by and quickly took a cup of water. Some ran past, some walked past and
a few wheeled past.
      I saw so many types of people doing it. I thought maybe I could do it too! The next year I decided to
