¡¾´ð°¸¡¿Dear fellow students,

Recently, a class meeting themed with Revere Nature, Protect Wild Animals was held in Class 1, Grade 9. After the meeting, I realize / have realized the importance of protecting wild animals.

Now the number of wild animals is becoming smaller and smaller. Some of them have even disappeared. / Even some wild animals have died out. Why do wild animals face problems like this? On one hand, people cut down trees and forests. The environment has been terribly polluted. This leads to less and less living space for wild animals. / Today more and more animals are in danger. Humans cut down trees and forests, and the environment is polluted seriously, so the animals have fewer and fewer places to live in. On the other hand, some people kill the animals for money and fur, and some even eat the meat. As a result, many wild animals don¡¯t have enough food to eat or places to live.

As middle school students, what can we do to save wild animals? First, I think everyone should take part in protecting the environment and we must refuse to eat wild animals. We should learn to live with animals peacefully. Second, we should read more books and learn more about the situation of animals and ways of protection. Finally, we should volunteer for animal protection and ask people not to kill animals. / In my opinion, we should set up more nature reserves to protect wild animals. We shouldn¡¯t buy any products related to wild animals. We should also make laws against hunting and killing them.

It¡¯s everyone¡¯s duty to protect wild animals. Protecting them is protecting ourselves. Wild animals are our friends. We live on the same earth. I hope everyone can do something to protect wild animals so that we can have a better world.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ You may have heard of the old story about the world's most whole-hearted fisherman. He had out-fished his friend all morning long. They used the same live bait (Óã¶ü), the same equipment and fished together in the same mountain stream. But he had almost caught a bucket of fish while his friend had yet to catch even one.

"What's your secret?" asked the friend. "I haven't even gotten any one!"

The successful fisherman emptied the bait of his mouth into a cupped hand and replied. "You have to keep your worms (Óã³æ) warm."

Whether or not we fish or even eat fish, there is a lesson to be learned here. We are most likely to succeed when we fully put our hearts into a task. Especially if the task before us is difficult or there seems little probability of success. Whether we want to build a new business or write that first novel, we should see how willing we are to do what it takes-even if it means keeping the worms warm.

So I often ask myself. "How much do I want this?" when some people fish, if they don't catch, they don't eat. Some things are too important for me to risk failure. So how much do I want to succeed at this career (ÊÂÒµ) or this dream? And how hard am I willing to work? If "success" only comes before "work" in the dictionary, I may have to work harder than I've ever worked before. But if I want it enough, the hard work will be worth it.

"Always bear in mind," said Abraham Lincoln, "that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other one thing."

And that is where it always begins: with a whole-hearted resolution to succeed¡ªin a task, in a career, in a life. How much do you want this? And, how hard are you willing to work? Start there, and great things can happen.
