【答案】Dear LingLing,

I'm sorry to hear that you have problems in learning English and I’d like to share some learning tips with you.

I think there are some good ways to learn English well, although it is very common for students to have difficulties in learning English.

For vocabulary, you are supposed to make a list of words you can’t remember. It is a good idea to remember them by chants, songs and pictures. You can also make sentences with the words and review them regularly. As for speaking, why not try to talk to myself, talk with my classmates in English after class, or take chance to talk with foreigners? How about going to the English club in your school regularly?

I hope what I said can be of some help to you. Never give up. Don’t be afraid of making mistakes because you can learn from mistakes. As we all know, “practice makes perfect.” The more you use English, the easier learning English will be. I’m sure your English will be improved a lot. Good luck !

Yours,

Li Hua

Don’t stick your chopsticks upright6the rice bowl. Instead, lay (放置) them on your dish. The reason for this is that when somebody7, the shrine (神龛) to them has a bowl of sand or rice with two chopsticks which are stuck upright in it. It is impolite to set the teapot down where the spout (壶嘴) is facing8somebody. The spout should always be directed to where nobody is sitting, usually just outward (向外) from the table. Don’t hit your bowl9 your chopsticks. Beggars (乞丐) hit their bowls, so this is not polite. Also, when the food is coming too10in a restaurant, people will tap their bowls.
