   Alibaba Group (阿里巴巴集团) went public in New York in September,2014. Its founder Ma Yun has now become the richest man in China. His English name is Jack Ma.

   Jack Ma's story of success is not an easy one. Ma Yun was born in Hangzhou Zhejiang Province on September 10th,1964. At school,he failed math exams. Ma studied English in Hangzhou Normal University and graduated in 1988. For five years,he worked as an English teacher.

   In 1995,he went to the United States and learned about the Internet. He believed that doing business on the Internet would have a bright future. Everyone thought he was crazy,but he didn't give up his hope. Ma first built websites for Chinese companies with the help of friends in the US. In 1995,Ma started China Yellow pages,which was widely believed to be China's first Internet company. Jack Ma set up Alibaba in 1999 and Taobao in 2003 with the help of his friends. Now, Alibaba is one of the biggest Internet companies in the world.

   Jack Ma always tells young people not to be afraid of difficulties. “Young people in China should know one thing. Today is difficult,tomorrow is more difficult,but the day after tomorrow is beautiful”’ he said.
