Dikembe Mutombo grew up in Africa among great poverty (贫穷) and disease (疾病). Later he became a star in the NBA, and a citizen of the United States. Wesley Autrey became a national hero when he placed his life in danger to help a stranger who had fallen onto the tracks in a New York subway tunnel.

Autrey was waiting for a downtown local train in Manhattan one day with his two daughters. Suddenly, a young man, Cameron Hollopeter, fell onto the subway tracks. Just . then a train was coming.
