The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) is a special house. It is for the families of sick kids who are in hospital.

The RMH was started by a football player called Fred Hill. His daughter was once very sick. His family spent a lot of time in the hospital because they didn’t have enough money for the hotel. Fred wanted to help families like his. He decided to build a place where they could eat, sleep and play. Then he worked with McDonald’s to build the first RMH.
