Zhong Nanshan became a well known name in the fight against SARS in 2003. Seventeen years later, the new fight against COVID-19 put the 84-year-old doctor back in the spotlight (媒体和公众的注意). As a leading specialist in respiratory diseases (呼吸系统疾病的领军人物), Zhong always puts patients first and provides them with the best treatments (治疗).

Because of SARS in 2003, he has become a hero and won public trust. The photo of him falling asleep on the train to Wuhan touched many people’s hearts. Thanks to selfless (无私的 ) medical workers like Zhong, COVID-19 has been brought under control in our country. They are the heroes of the age of peace.

“My heart was beating fast. I was shaking, and I was so nervous.” Alice, Emma’s stepdaughter, said. She gave her step-mother the surprise of a life time.
