How’s it going? Do you want to know something about the festivals in China? My favorite Chinese festival is Spring Festival. It's the first day of the lunar year.

People start preparing food, cleaning and buying new clothes a month before the Spring Festival. On Chinese New Year's Eve, families get together to have a big dinner. In many places people like to set off firecrackers and fireworks to celebrate it, then stay up till midnight. On the first day, children put on new clothes and greet parents. They will receive lucky money from their parents. This money is given to children for good luck.

Spring Festival is my favorite festival. I love it.
