In other words, mystery shopping is about making truthful value judgments of the shopping environment, the helpfulness of the frontline stuff, the abilities of the shopping assistants, etc. You should be able not only to observe al these and make logical conclusions about your overall customer satisfaction, but also to remember details and watch out for particular signs. In the end, you’ll be asked to write down your impressions, either on paper or online.

Directions: Read the following passage. Answer the questions according to the information given in the passage.
Do you ever feel angry about someone who stands too close, talks too loudly pr makes eye contact for too long? For most of us, the answer is probably yes. But have you ever thought, what makes us feel uncomfortable with those “close talkers” ? Or with strangers who stand very near to us in a line?
Scholars began to study personal space decades ago, and they came to their conclusion recently. They found that humans tend to avoid eye contact if they feel someone is standing too close.
They also found that personal space involves not only imaginary space around the body, but around all the senses as well. People may feel their space is violated(侵犯的) when they encounter an unwelcome sound, scent or stare; the woman on the bus shouting into her mobile phone, or the co-worker sitting next to you putting on some perfume you don’t like. So people will put a distance between themselves and strangers by nature.
The scientists give two examples to explain that everybody pursues ( 追求) personal space. One is that in a survey from a website, people said if they had to pay sor certain benefits, they would rather have larger seats than massages and extra food. Another is that a current advertisement for Eos Airlines, whish flies New York to London, is promoting the fact it offers “21 square feet of personal space.”
Why do we value personal space? Preference for personal space differs from culture to culture. Americans generally prefer more personal space than people in Mediterranean and Latin American cultures and men in Arab culture. ‘It’s part of a culture that prizes independence, privacy and capitalism.” An American professor said.
However, how can you communicate with others and not make them feel uncomfortable if you just come into a new environment? Er. You will learn it yourself when you live there for a long time enough.
