Perseverance, strength and good education are the gateway to success. And this is especially true when you look at the obstacles that Latinos have to overcome to succeed in public schools. We are more likely to live in poverty and attend racially separated schools. These issues create many other problems for Latinos.

To help relieve my family burden, I found my first job when I was 14 at a local hotel. Despite the long hours on my new job, I worked hard. Compassion, consisting of both understanding and empathy, can be a perfect solution to anger.
