It was the age of AIDS (45)CBut Rocky,from the first,taught Precious about the infection,describing the virus to her as a"bad bug".With an early ability of (46)Blong prayers(祈祷文),poems and Bible passages,Precious showed off her(47)Din churches at just two years old.There,in places where the talk of AIDS might not(48)Dhave been welcomed,Precious began telling audiences about the"bad bug"in her body.
From kindergarten through fourth grade,Precious was(49)Bby a retired teacher with several other neighborhood children.Precious attended public school in fifth grade,but her mother(50)Aher out when some of the kids began(51)Cher,calling her"AIDS girl".Now she is two years ahead of other students her age at the SEED Public Charter School.
"Things are much better now,"Rocky says."Until she was four,she was(52)Bin hospital.Sometimes we didn't know (53)Ashe could come back home."
