【题目】Everybody gets stressed time to time. 【1】 Some ways of dealing with stress 一like screaming or hitting someone一don't solve (解决) much. But other ways, like talking to someone you trust, can lead you to solving your problem or at least feeling better.

Try taking these four steps the next time you are stressed:

(1) Get support. When you need help, reach out to the people who care about you. Talk to a trusted adult, such as a parent or other relatives. 2 They might have had similar problems, such as dealing with a test, or the death of a beloved pet.

(2) Don't take it out on yourself. Sometimes when kids are stressed and upset they take it out on themselves.

Oh, dear, that's good idea. Remember that there are always people to help you. Don't take it out on yourself. 3

(3) Try to solve the problem. After you're calm and you have support from adults and friends, it's time to get down to business. 4 Even if you can't solve it all, you can solve a piece of it.

(4) Be positive. Most stress is temporary(暂时的).Remember stress does go away, especially when you figure out the problem and start working on solving it. These steps aren't magic, but they do work. And if you can stay positive as you make your way through a tough time, you'll help yourself feel better even faster. 5

【题目】As weather cools across the United States, a growing number of Americans visit farms. They harvest fruits, enjoy hay wagon rides and walk in the fields. These people are called “agri-tourists.” They improve the economy of rural areas and help farmers increase their profits.

School children are walking in a corn field maze. The corn is cut into tricky passageways that make it difficult to find a way out. The children are from Yorktown Elementary School in Bowie Maryland. They have traveled to Montpelier Farms in Prince George’s County which is also in Maryland. The farm is about 40 kilometers from The White House.

Debbie Pierson is the student’s teacher. “We go on these kind of field trips so that the children will have a hands-on experience of what it’s like to be on a farm,” Pierson said.

In Loudoun County Virginia, there are farms where grapes are grown for use in making wine. Many of the farms let people visit, and drink the wine that is made there. Bill Hatch owns the Zephaniah Farm Vineyard. He holds wine tastings in his home. “We are doubling the number of visitors to our farm every year. We have an average of 250 people on a weekend,” Hatch said.

As more people visit farms, more farmers are adding activities in which visitors can take part.

Malcolm Baldwin owns WeatherLea Farm and Vineyard in Loudoun County. Six years ago, he began letting people be married at his farm. They can also sleep at the farm overnight. Mr. Baldwin says the money he makes from these activities let him keep his small farm operating. “But without the animals, and without the vines, the wedding business wouldn’t be as profitable (有利可图的), because people like to see the vines. They like to see the animals and without which I don’t think this will be a popular place,” Baldwin said.

【题目】What looks like an angry old man and lives at the bottom of the ocean? Its the worlds ugliest animal---the blobfish(水滴鱼).

Its strange skin is shaped by its habitat. It lives 800 meters below the oceans surface, a depth where very few other creatures can survive.

Most fishes have a swim bladder(鱼鳔), which is filled with gas and helps them stay afloat. At the depth that the blobfish live, water pressure is 80 times higher than that at higher sea levels and any swim bladder wouldnt be able to serve its purpose.

The blobfish don’t have a swim bladder because their skin works the same way. It helps them stay afloat without having to use any energy.

The blobfish have a pretty relaxed attitude towards eating. All they do is stay and wait for crabs or lobsters to come by.

Since the blobfish like to eat crabs and lobsters, they often get caught in nets that are used to catch lobsters or crabs and end up dying or being killed. They are not suitable for eating so they are useless for fishermen.

Theres a purpose behind the blobfishs new title; it has become the new mascot for the Ugly Animal Preservation Society, an organization whose purpose is to preserve endangered ugly animals.

Weve needed an ugly face for endangered ugly animals for a long time and Ive been amazed by the public reaction, said the Societys Simon Watt. For too long cute animals have taken the limelight(风头) but now the blobfish will be a voice for those who always get forgotten. They hope this new face will help the world know that we need to help preserve the populations of ugly animals too.
