I was only eleven year old when my friend Mike and I went to play in a river. The river flowed towards fast with many big rocks in it. When we jumping from one rock to another,I slipped in the river and the fast current catched me. I just had one moment to think and grabbed on to the rock beside me. But I felt that I shouldn't get out of the water. I screamed, "Help!" My friend Mike ran up to me and pulled me out off the river. After that day we became much close friends. He is my truly hero,to who I am very thankful for being there when I needed help.

The Dragon Boat Festival,also often known as Duanwu Festival,is a traditional holiday in China. On this special day,people will eat zongzi,drink realgar wine and race dragon boats.

The story best known in modern China holds that the festival commemorates (纪念) the death of Qu Yuan. He is a minister of the ancient state of Chu during the Warring States period of the Zhou Dynasty. 1       However,he was punished for opposing the alliance (联盟) between Chu and Qin. Twentyeight years later,he heard the news that his country was occupied by Qin. 2       It is said that the local people,who admired him,raced out in their boats to save him. 3       When his body could not be found,they dropped rice into the river. 4       This is said to be the origin of zongzi- The festival was long marked as a festival culturally in China and is a public holiday in Hong Kong,Taiwan and Macau. 5       Beginning in 2005,the government began to plan for the recognition of three traditional holidays,including Duanwu. Since 2008,Duanwu has been celebrated not only as a festival but also a public holiday.

Parents whose children show a special interest in a sport feel very difficult to make a decision about their children's careers. Millions of people are using mobile phones today. In many places,it is actually considered unusual not to have one. 1       They found that the phones are more than a means of communication―having a mobile phone shows that they're cool and connected.

The explosions around the world in mobile phone use make some health professionals worried. Some doctors are concerned that in the future many people may suffer health problems from the use of mobile phones. Mobile phone companies are worried about the negative publicity (负面才艮道) of such ideas. 2       On the other hand,signs of change in the tissues of the brain and head can be detected with modern scanning equipment.
