The Dragon Boat Festival,also often known as Duanwu Festival,is a traditional holiday in China. On this special day,people will eat zongzi,drink realgar wine and race dragon boats.

The story best known in modern China holds that the festival commemorates (纪念) the death of Qu Yuan. He is a minister of the ancient state of Chu during the Warring States period of the Zhou Dynasty. 1       However,he was punished for opposing the alliance (联盟) between Chu and Qin. Twentyeight years later,he heard the news that his country was occupied by Qin. 2       It is said that the local people,who admired him,raced out in their boats to save him. 3       When his body could not be found,they dropped rice into the river. 4       This is said to be the origin of zongzi- The festival was long marked as a festival culturally in China and is a public holiday in Hong Kong,Taiwan and Macau. 5       Beginning in 2005,the government began to plan for the recognition of three traditional holidays,including Duanwu. Since 2008,Duanwu has been celebrated not only as a festival but also a public holiday.

Many animals are in danger of dying out. A recent study shows that various kinds of wild animals had decreased sharply in the past decades. With 30,000 wild animals reduced at average each year,there were only 1. 5 million left till 2014.

There are several reasons accounted for this problem. Apart from the polluting environment and natural disasters,illegal killing is important reason. Human beings are making attempts to hunt wild animals for a big profit,this has resulted in a sharp decrease in the number of animals.

In my opinion,it is high time that we must take quick action to protect them. A national publicly campaign should be launched to give animals a good living environment. Recently a restaurant has become a hot topic which arouses a controversial debate. A man

runs a restaurant 1        any waiter and people who have dinner here can pay the bill as they want 2        If the customer thinks this meal worth 50yuan,then he can put 50yuan in the box. However,as the owner keeps losing money over 4 months,people begin to think this is the customer's honesty issue,3          I can't agree with it.

In the first place,the restaurant didn't name the price to each dish,which means the owner lets the customers evaluate the meal by themselves. So people pay the money for the meal that is always 4        than the owner's expectation. Leave alone the 5       (one) who don't pay the bill,as everyone has different values,and most people have no idea about the cost of the dish,it is understandable 6        customers pay less money than the cost.

In the second place,the restaurant has no waiter at all which makes the cost lower than a regular restaurant. The customers have to help themselves to have the meal,also they need to wash the dishes. It makes 7        reasonable that customers pay less money than the owner's 8          (expect) .

I was only eleven year old when my friend Mike and I went to play in a river. The river flowed towards fast with many big rocks in it. When we jumping from one rock to another,I slipped in the river and the fast current catched me. I just had one moment to think and grabbed on to the rock beside me. But I felt that I shouldn't get out of the water. I screamed, "Help！" My friend Mike ran up to me and pulled me out off the river. After that day we became much close friends.
