第一节：短文改错(共10小题,每小题1分,满分10分)

假如英语课上老师要求同学们交换修改作文,请你修改你同桌写的以下作文。文中共有10处语言错误,要求你在错误的地方增加、删除或修改某个单词。

   增加：在缺词处加一个漏字符号（^）,并在其下面写上该加的词。

   删除：把多余的词用斜线（\）划掉。

   修改：在错的词下划一横线,并在该词下面写上修改后的词。

   注意： 1. 每处错误及其修改均仅限一词；

          2. 只允许修改10处,多者(从第11处起)不计分。

Like most of my schoolmates, I had neither brothers nor sisters --- in any other words, I am an only child. My parents love me deep of course and will do all they can make sure that I get a good education. They do not want me to do any housework at home, they want me to devote all my time to do my studies so that I’ll get good marks in all my subject. We are one family and live under a same roof, but we do not seem to get many time to talk with each other. It looks as if my parents treated me as a visitor or a guest. Do they really understand their own daughter? What things are in other families, I wonder.

Dear Ralph,
I am an university student. I once thought life at the university must be excellent,
but now I changed my mind. I have three roommates, and I was the last one
to  move into the dormitory. Last term, I got along peacefully and happy. But I find
they are not willing to be with me now. They don’t talk with me, and they’ve
become cold toward me. Many time, I have wanted to talk with them about how I
felt like, but I failed to find an opening. When leaving alone, I always recall this
sadness. But I am an honest student. Why don’t I win true friendship?

A famous scientist was in his way to other lecture when his chauffeur (司机) offered an idea. “Hey, boss, I’ve heard your speech many time. I bet I could deliver it and give you this night off.” “Sound great,” said the scientist. When they got to lecture hall, the scientist put up the chauffeur’s hat and settled in the back row. And then the chauffeur began to deliver the speech. Afterwards he asked if there were some questions. “Yes,” said a professor. Then he asked a high technical question. The chauffeur was nervous for the moment but quickly recovered. “That’s an easy one,” he replied. “I’m going to let my chauffeur to answer it.”
