假定英语课上老师要求同桌之间交换修改作文，请你修改你同桌的以下作文。文中共有10处语言错误，每句中最多有两处。错误涉及一个单词的增加、删除或修改。

增加：在缺词处加一个漏字符号（∧），并在其下面写出该加的词。

删除：把多余的词用斜线（\）划掉。

修改：在错的词下划一横线，并在其下面写出修改后的词。

注意：1．每处错误及其修改均仅限一词；

2．只允许修改10处，多者（从第11处起）不计分。

First, I’d like to thank you for your reminding, although I don’t agree with your view

which students should spend more time on their lessons instead of read novels．Indeed,

reading novels takes up some of the time that should spent on lessons, but it’ll make us know

what hard life is．Besides, by reading novels we can gain what we can’t learn from our

textbook．Of course, reading novels has it’s shortcomings．Novels that have wrong ideas will

make us to do something wrong．Maybe, in your eyes, the disadvantages of reading novels

outweighs the advantages．And in my opinion, reading novels is just as another pair of eyes,

which broadens my horizon．

Welcome to our college. I am principal of the college and I’d just like to say something while your teacher is preparing to show you up a short video about our lovely college. We are all very pleased what you have decided to study at our college. Some of us will be here for only a few weeks, for you can’t afford to waste any time in your studies. Learn to speak any language involves practicing that language as much as you can. So from today, I recommend you will speak only English. While you are here, you should consider making as many friend as possible with those come from other countries so that you don’t spend too much time speaking your own. Well, I think video is ready now. I hope get the opportunity to meet you all individual at lunch.

The Internet is an useful tool and you can do many things on it. For example, you can make with some new friends on the Internet. They often lived in another city or even another country. Make friends online gives you a chance to learn about other people. So you need to be very carefully about these friends. It is important to you not to give too much information, such as your phone number, address and so on .It may dangerous. Friends on the Internet can never take place of your true friends. When you enjoy talking with friends online, don’t forget you true friends.
