Several years ago, my father told me a real and dangerous story about helping a man who was seriously injured after being hit by a car.
Early in the morning he was going to work, he saw a man lying on the street who was bleeding(流血). Some people passed by and no one stopped to help the man.
However, my father didn’t hesitate(犹豫) to help him. My father took him to the nearest hospital. He was afraid that the man could die because he was losing so much blood.
Then an incredible thing happened when my father tried to go back to work. The police stopped him and said he could not leave the hospital until the man woke up. The police thought that my father had hit him on the street. My father was angry, but he couldn’t do anything. He hoped that the man would wake up as soon as possible.
At that moment, my father was worried. If the man died, my father would be charged with(被指控)murder. He was feeling very nervous because he didn’t know what was going to happen to the man.
Fortunately, the man woke up and told the police what happened, and my father left the hospital. He left the hospital feeling very strange. He felt happy because he had saved a man, but at the same time he felt stressed because if the man had died, he would have been in big trouble.

One P.E. class, I called up all of my friends to get together in our classroom. “Can anybody jump out of the window?” I asked them. After hearing this, all my friends kept silent. “I know you are all chickens,” I said. “Can you?” one of my friends asked me. “Sure!” I answered. “If I do it, I will get all the toys that you have. If I fail, you will get all of my toys, OK?” They said, “OK!”
Then I went up to the window of the second floor. I took a deep breath and then jumped down, stretching out my arms just like Superman. Then I hit the ground.
When I opened my eyes, I found myself lying in the hospital. I was taken to the hospital because my arms were badly hurt. Later, I heard that my P.E. teacher nearly lost his job for this, but I never received the serious punishment I feared.
