The day finally came, when I had to leave the warm home where I¨d grown up. I ran to the back yard, as tears came up from my heart. Suddenly I 36 a hand rest on my shoulder. I looked up to 37 my grandfather. ^It isn¨t 38 , is it, Billy? ̄ he said softly.
He gently 39 my hand in his, and then we walked, hand in hand, to the front yard, 40 a huge red rose-bush sat alone.
^What do you see here, Billy? ̄ he asked. I looked at the flowers, not knowing 41 to say, and then answered, ^I see something soft and 42 , grandpa. ̄
He pulled me 43 . ^It isn't just the roses that are beautiful, Billy. It¨s that special place in your heart that makes them so. ̄ ^Billy, I 44 these roses when my first son was born. It was my 45 of saying `thank you¨ to God. I 46 to watch him pick roses for his mother. Then, as a young man of only 20, a terrible war robbed him of his life. ̄ Grandpa slowly stood up. ^Never say good-bye, Billy. Never 47 to the sadness and the loneliness. Instead, I want you to remember the joy and the 48 when you first said hello to a friend. ̄
A year later, my grandpa became very 49 .Then all members of the family
were 50 back, and I returned to the old house. When it came to my 51 , I took his hand as 52 as he had once taken mine.
^Hello, grandpa, ̄ I 53 .His eyes slowly opened and said, ^Hello, my friend. ̄ With a brief 54 he died. Suddenly, and truly, I knew what he had 55 about never saying good-bye ! about refusing to give in to sadness.

Don't Take the Fun Out of Youth Sports
When I joined a private football league a few years ago, the sport meant everything to me. My coach┰盟沓said that I had lots of potential捻薦, and I became captain of my __1__. That was before all the fun was taken out of __2__.
At first, everyone on the team got __3__ playing time. Then the team moved up to the top division after winning all its games, and the __4__started. Some parents, who had paid the coach extra so their daughters could have __5__ one-on-one training, got angry when she didn't give them more playing time in our __6__. The coach was replaced.
The new coach, however, took all the fun out of the game: All we did during practice was __7__ I always wished to God that it would rain so we would not have the __8__. Of course, all teams run drills; they are __9__. But we ran so much that, afterwards, we had trouble __10__. Younger people shouldn't be doing exercises __11__ for 18-year-olds.
I was very thin __12__ I started football, but as a member of this team I wouldn't eat much, be-cause I was afraid of being too __13__ to run. I feared making mistakes, and the added pressure caused me to make more than my usual __14__.
Is all this pressure necessary? I __15__ up leaving the football team. Four other girls did the same, and two of them stopped playing football completely. That's __16__, because they had so much potential. They were just burned-out with all the pressure they __17__ from the coach or their parents.
I continued playing football at school and __18__ my love for it. I joined a private team coached by my school coach. When I started playing __19__ him, he told me I needed to relax because I looked nervous. After I __20__ down, I played better. When you enjoy something, it's a lot easier to do it well.

When a person is curious about something, it means he is 1 in it and wishes to know more about it. There is 2 wrong with curiosity in itself. Whether it is good or bad depends on what people are curious about.
Curiosity is 3 silly or wrong. Some persons with nothing to do are full of curiosity about what their 4 are doing. They are 5 to know what they are eating or drinking, what they are 6 home or taking outside, or 7 they have come so early or late. To be interested in these things is 8 because they are 9 at all. It is none of their 10 to know what their neighbors do or are doing. Such curiosity is 11 not only 12 but also harmful. For most probably, it 13 to small talk which often brings harm, shame of disrespect to others, and thus 14 their feelings.
On the other hand, there is a 15 curiosity--the curiosity of wise men, who wonder at all the great things and try to 16 all they can about them. Columbus could never have found America if he had not been 17 . James Watt would not have made the steam engine 18 his curiosity about the raising of the kettle lid. All the discoveries in human history have been made 19 a result of curiosity, 20 , the curiosity is never about unimportant things which have few or nothing to do with the happiness of the public.

It was a cold winter¨s night when I stopped for gas on my way home from work. I was tired and had a slight 36 .
I worked in a 37 doctor¨s office and this was one of those days when the unexpected happened, making the schedule run 38 than usual. It seemed I was going to be late 39 home and my husband, being the 40 person, would be ready to pronounce me late once again. Maybe 41 I hurried, I could still make it home.
I was heading inside to 42 for my gas when I noticed an older couple at the counter. I heard them asking for 43 to the local hospital. It was the same hospital that I had just 44 a few minutes ago.
The young man at the counter was trying to be 45 in explaining how to get there, with two other people making 46 . One of them was 47 trying to give them a whole different route back. It was then that I walked over to the couple and said, ^Would you like to follow me to the 48 ? ̄
A look of 49 crossed the woman¨s face.
^I¨m going right by there, ̄ I said, which wasn¨t a(an) 50 since I had just made up my mind to do 51 that.
I got in my car and began the journey back. I was trying to watch to be sure they were right 52 me. It took only fifteen minutes to get there as rush hour traffic was beginning to 53 . I felt better than I had all day and my headache was nearly gone.
Later, as I arrived home, my husband 54 , ^So you aren¨t ever late any more. ̄
I said, ^Sometimes it¨s 55 to be late. ̄
