She couldn’t find anything in the snow but a suit-case[行李箱]. When it grew dark, she turned the suit-case into a bed and put the children inside it, covering[盖] them with all the clothes she could find. During the night, it got terribly cold. The woman kept as near as she could to the children and even tried to get into the case herself, but it was too small. Early next morning, she heard planes flying above and wanted to know how she could send a signal[信号Then she had an idea. She wrote the letters ‘SOS’ in the snow. The first time I went on a plane was when I went to Hong Kong with my dad.
When I just saw the plane, I thought it was very big. But when there were a lot of passengers who
sat on the plane, it wasn't very big anymore. It could carry more than 500 people. That was so amazing!
When the plane flew up into the sky, my ears started to hurt. It hurt me so much that I wanted to cry.
I said to myself, "Don't cry. I can't cry." But I couldn't hold back my tears. "If you chew (嚼) a piece of
gum, it will stop the harm," dad said. When I heard what my dad said, I chewed a piece of gum. But it
was no use. My ears still hurt. Now when I think about going on a plane, I will be very scared.
Since then, I have hated taking the plane, but I love my motherland. I'd like to go to China to look a
tour beautiful mountains and rivers. I hope that I can slowly be fit to go on a plane.
