The news which the English Entrance Examination will be reformed has caused a big “earthquake” in our country. Many people, included students, are for it. But there are also some people are against it. Then, is it better to do so or not? Personally, I think the reform has between advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, it can reduce students’ learn burden and enable English to return back to its true function. On the other hand, it will cause students to spend less time on studying English and to attached less importance to English. If so, students will not have a good knowledge of English. Our mothers accompanied us to school in the first day. Soon a teacher came and led us to a classroom. There we were put into four separate class. Some children begin to cry as the parents were not allowing into the classroom. I did not cry because I have been to kindergarten before. Actual my mother went home soon after for she knew I would be all right. It was enjoyable time for me as I got to know my new classmates. The teacher was very busy for writing down our information so they had plenty of time to ourselves. Today is Sunday. I’ve been in Canada for two months. This is the first time that I’ve been away my family for such a long time. Time flies! This is a third year that I have been in this school. In the past two and a half years, our school had organized many activities. What impressed me best was an activity called “Learning to Farm”. In an autumn afternoon, we were sent to a farm which we learned to plant potatoes. Having been in the city for so a long time, we were so happy to go to the countryside. After divided into three groups, we started to work. It is five years now since I graduate from No. 3 High School. Last Saturday, the class that I was on held a get-together, which took us a long time prepare. It was indeed not easy to get in the touch with everybody and set a well time for all of us. We all enjoyed this precious day greatly, remember the time we spent together and the people they were familiar with. It was a pity which some of us were not present as they had gone to abroad for further study, but they called back or sent greeting card from different places.
