When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like:“If you live each day as if it was your last, some day you'll most certainly be right.” It made an 1 on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every 2 and asked myself:“If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?” And whenever the 3 has been “No” for too many days in a row, I know I need to 4 something.
Remembering that I'll be 5 soon is the most important tool I've ever used to help me make the big 6 in life.Because almost everything-all external expectations, all pride, all 7 of embarrassment or failure-these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is 8 important.Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to 9 .You are already naked. There is no reason not to 10 your heart.
Your time is limited, so don't 11 it living someone else's life.Don't be 12 by dogma-which is living with the results of other people's thinking.Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most importantly, have the 13 to follow your beliefs and goals. They somehow already know what you really want to 14 .Everything else is 15 .

One of the most common social fears is that we are not good enough.Perhaps you feel you won’t 1 others because they are more confident, successful, intelligent or attractive than you.Such thinking is misguided. The 2 of doing well is accepting yourself as you are.
When I was a student, I kept a diary filled with 3 memories. Some were painful memories from 4 when I felt hurt, confused, lonely and insecure.I 5 pieces of dreams and personal feelings of anger and hatred, 6 things I enjoyed such as magic shops and coin dealers.
Then a terrible thing happened. 7 dinner one night I realized I had left my diary in the cloakroom(衣帽间)outside the campus dining hall. 8 that somebody might read it and find out the truth about me, I 9 back, but it was gone.
Weeks passed, and eventually I gave up hope of ever finding it 10 .A month later, I was 11 up my jacket in the same place when I saw my brown 12 diary, just where I’d left it.

Tears came to my eyes.I had never thought that any one could know my inner feelings and also 18 things just like the way I did.
No matter what you are like, whether you’re rich or poor, brilliant or 19 , attractive or plain, there are people like you.Get rid of your fears of not being good enough, and 20 yourself as you are.

Once an old villager was reading the Ramayana while sitting in a railway station waiting for the train to come.
A young man with 1 was standing nearby and said to the old man, "You 2 people read only the Ramayana all the time.Do you not have any other book to read? There are so many best sellers 3 these days. What is so great in the Ramayana anyway?"
The old man 4 to read and smiled without any reply to the young man.The 5 of the train was delayed so the young man 6 for about 30 minutes. 7 his return, he saw the old man still reading the Ramayana and became really 8 and began to criticize the old man even more.
Soon, 9 , the train arrived.Everyone, 10 .rushed in to get a seat(as one must do in India). It 11 that the old man and young man were seated next to each other in train too. And…the old man continued to read the Ramayana.
12 the young man realized that his wife was missing! He looked for the emergency-chain to stop 13 and shouted anxiously, "My wife! Where is she? I think she has been 14 on the platform!" The old man said to him calmly, " 15 you had read the Ramayana, you would never have 16 this mistake."
" 17 ?" said the young man.
The old man explained:"It is said in the Ramayana that when Ram Chandra, Sita and Lakshmana were standing on the 18 of the Ganga and the boat man came with the boat.Ram Chandra asked Sita to get in the boat first and only then did he get in the boat himself! So why are you 19 me what is said in the Ramayana when you do not 20 know enough to take care of your own wife and see that she gets onto train first? You see, the Ramayana tells you even this!"
True enough, any time you are confused and cannot decide what your duty is, just read the Ramayana and you will find the answers to all your doubts! Treat with respect all things held sacred to others, whether you understand these things or not.

In America students would never be 9 to use their mobile phones during class. If you were to send or 10 a text message you would probably be kicked out of class. It is OK to have your mobile phone with you, you just need to remember to turn it 11 .It is very disturbing to hear a lot of tones and 12 during class.
As a teacher in China, I have to deal with students 13 mobile phones everyday.I have told my class to turn off their phones, 14 many students do not listen. The desire to be connected all the time seems to be 15 than the desire to learn.
It's easy to understand why it is so tempting(诱惑人的)to have your phone on during class. It seems so 16 to just send a short text message; it's not 17 anyone, is it? But you may actually be hurting yourself when you do this.Sending a text message also 18 your attention away from what's 19 in class, you may miss 20 important. The next time you think about sending a message in class you should think again.

I'll never forget May 12.2008.We were having classes at Beichuan.Middle School, Sichuan Province, when a huge 1 hit the area.
At about 2∶28 pm, our 2 , Mr.Wang, was teaching us singing on the fourth floor of the Teaching Building. 3 we felt the building shaking violently. It was an earthquake! Our building starting to 4 .It was too late to rush out to the 5 .We were told to hide under the desks. 6 later, the whole building fell down.We were 7 and couldn't move a little at all.No one could really imagine at that split second, how much pain we had 8 or how desperate(绝望)we felt as we waited to be 9 .I heard Mr Wang calling our names again and again…
Hours later, some people came to rescue and 10 of us were saved luckily.
Later, I 11 this huge earthquake scaled 8.0 magnitude. It hit several provinces including Sichuan, Gansu and Shanxi. So far it has 12 more than 80,000 and injured 360,000.My hometown-Beichuan was 13 the worst-hit areas. Our school, which was 14 filled with vigor(活力)and laughter, was a dead valley.
World after such a(n) 15 could appear nothing but empty and pointless. So many people's lives were taken away, so much 16 was done and the whole city was 17 .Beichuan has become a history.
Now, some of my classmates and I were 18 to study in a middle school in Jiangsu Province.I still 19 dreaming and still strive for a better future:to make our homes beautiful yet 20 .
May victims rest in peace.May survivors live to be stronger.
