  Bungee jumping(蹦极)is a relatively recent sport and one that has become very popular. However, few people knows of the origins of this risky sport.

Bungee jumping was inspiring by the vine jumpers of Pentecost Island, in

Each year, the man of the island's tribe construct huge wooden towers

Bridge in Bristol in April 1st 1979. The D. S. C. has performed many

other jumps, including one off across the Golden Gate Bridge. During the 1980s

A. J. Hackett opened the first commercial jump site in New Zealand. As part of the site publicity, Hackett performed an astonished bungee

jump from the Eiffer Tower right in the centre of Paris.
