country had polluted．On arrival, they started to
check the air and water．To they surprise, they found
how terribly the situation was．They could see the
serious pollution．Lock into the case, they
persuade the government to pass the law to
protect the environment and kept the balance
of nature．Now everything has changed．Birds
are singing while tree and grass are waving．

My heart sank when I open the front door and saw
Mrs．Liu．Whatever she called, she stayed for hours
and hours．But this time, she stayed for several hours
till nearly 6 o’clock．I had had lots of homework
to do．I couldn’t stand her more longer．So I tried
to persuade her leave without feeling unhappy．I
asked her that her husband had got home from
job, and maybe he was worried about her because it was so
late．But, instead of leaving, she was phoned her
husband to come round, too．What unwelcome visitor!
I can’t swim because I have a strong fear of water．
Look back at my childhood experience, I think
that three reason might explain the fear．The first
reason is what I was not allowed to go near the water
when I was a child, for my mother had unreasonable
fear of it．So, even as a child I was taught see the
water as something danger．Secondly, I became
weak-sighted when I was five．If only I took off my
glasses in the water, I couldn’t see anything, but this
increased my fear．The worst part of your experience
is that as a child I see a neighbor who was drowned．
Since then I have been more frightened．
At a party, it is quite normal of someone to have
a short conversation with you and then go on to talking
to other people!Don’t think they dislike you or they
are impolite．It has the custom at many parties
in Britain, particularly there people are standing up rather
than sitting down．Here are two ways of finishing conversation
at a party．Excuse me．I think I’ll go and get another drinking．
See you later, perhaps?Oh．Excuse me．I’ve just seen
Mary Jennings over here．I’ve got to discuss a meeting we
are been having on Thursday．Would you excuse me for a moment?
Our school held an English speech contest each year．
Chang Mei won the first prize in last year．Everyone was
sure that she was going to the champion again this year．
Yet to our surprise, she, instead of getting the first prize,
coming to the second in the end．When the judge at the
contest announced the results, Chang Mei felt so sadly
that she almost cried．Therefore, she was not discouraged．
When the second prize was given to her, she said to her．
“The prize is not only important．I am going to work still
hard to improve my English speaking ability．”
Dear friends,
It is real a good chance to have met all of you here．
We have spent several precious weekend in learning in the
English Club．Although we have been members for a short
period of time, we have made a great progress．That is
because we are all very much active and the activities are not
only enjoyable and also helpful．Besides, the foreign teachers
here work hard and try his best to make the activities
lively and interested．I am very pleased to say that all of
us greatly improved our spoken English so far．I am
looking forward to see all of you again in the near future!
