As is known to all that our students of today have to fix our attention on our lessons, so we know few of society. A holiday is the best time and the best chance to make up for that. Take a part-time job is a good form of social practice. That we have learned in books and in class can’t have same important effect on us as what we have learned through personal practice. In social practice, we can surely make a progress in both knowledge or practical ability. Beside, when we take a part-time job, we may got paid more or less to help our family. Thus, I will say a senior school student should take a part-time job in their holidays, if possible.

Last Sunday I went to Beijing National Stadium. At gate I happened to meet some young America tourists. I greeted to them in English and then we began to chat. If you understood another culture， it can help you with your language learning. This is because your background knowledge will make easier for you to understand the content of a reading passage. For example, if you have some knowledges about History and geography of Australia, it will make it easier for you to understand passages relating to Australia. In the same way, if you have watched the film The Mutiny on the Bounty you will know the background about the journey of Captain Bligh across the Pacific Ocean. So you will be more better able to appreciate what great Captain Bligh’s achievement was in second unit.
