Last night when Steven and I was having a walk in the street, we suddenly heard a painful cry for help under a tree nearby. We quickly ran to the tree and found a boy laying on the ground with a stick in his leg. He had fallen of the tree. Steven suggested we pulled the stick out at once, but I disagreed, Because I had learned little about first aid at school. The stick in the leg would help controlling the bleeding. As there was no telephone, we managed to find a taxi. We took the boy to a nearest hospital. The doctors examined the boy fast and we got to know where the boy lived. So we telephoned his parents and left after he came to the hospital. We did a good deed.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Welcome to our English Corner. This Corner was set up three years before. Every Sunday morning, students from different schools gather around here. Many college students or some foreigners often join us. We practise spoken English by talk about everything we are intrersted. We also exchange our experience in English study. We all have a good time here. Thousand of people have been here when it was set up.
We think that they have learned a lot by taking part in activities here. It is a really supplement to our English class and it is welcome by students, their parents and teachers.

Dear Editor,
I’m writing to tell you about how we students use computers in our daily lives. Some use them in a good way when some others don’t. As far as I am concerned, more and more students now use computers help with their study. If we meet some difficulties when they are doing their homework, they always got help from the Internet. To spend their spare time, they look for more informations with the computers to have much more knowledge. At the same time, however, the great number of students are still so interested in PC games and chatted with others on the Internet that they can not force themselves to return to their study. They are really in dangerous. That is how we mainly use computers. They can either do good and harm to us.

Dear Li Ming,
To my opinion, when you reach London, the first place you should have set out for is Big Ben, where can be heard all over the world on BBC. Big Ben takes its name from Sir Benjamin Hall in 1858, who was responsible for the making of the world-famous clock at that time. It only has a very big size, but is extreme accurate as well. Officials from Greenwich Observatory have the clock check twice a day. On BBC, you can hear a clock when it is striking because microphones are connected to the clock tower. Big Ben has hardly gone wrong up till now. Once, therefore, it failed to give the correct time. A painter who worked on the tower hung a pot of paints on one of the hands and slowed it down!

This morning Wang Hua and I went school on foot together. In the way Wang Hua saw Li Lin riding a bike on the other side of the street. He was too anxious to join Li Lin that he left me in a hurry and ran across the street in the front of a car. Luckily the driver stopped his car quickly.  What dangerous! Wang Hua jumped onto Li Lin’s bike but they went on. But when they come to the school gate , they were knocked down by a car. We were both injured and sent to hospital immediately. Fortunately, they escaped being killed. We should draw a lesson from this accident and strict obey the traffic rule in everyday life.

Nowadays many graduate are looking forward to get employment in big cities, not willing to
work in a countryside. Unfortunately, there are enough chances to satisfy most of the job hunters
in big cities, while in the countryside talented people are bad needed but a lot of posts are waiting
for you. You can put your abilities to good use and you will able to make greater contributions of
building a modern countryside. Therefore, I believe in you can have as bright a future in the
countryside as we will have in the cities.
