The Internet has become part of teenagers' life.
A new report on 3,375 students aged from10 to18 in seven Chinese cities found that 38 percent of them believe they use the Internet often.
While most of them get useful information and use the Internet to help in their studies, some are not using it in a good way. Many are playing online games too much. A few even visit web sites they should not look at. A middle school teacher from Beijing warns that bad things can happen if young people spend too much time on the Internet. She had a student who used to be good at school. But then he started visiting sex web sites. He went mad, cheated a girl and was taken away by the police.

Some students also make online friends. But if you are meeting a friend offline, make sure your parents know. Teachers and parents all think the book is a very good idea. This teacher said the book will be a guide for teens using the Internet. She believes it will keep students away from bad sites. “Many students are using the Internet without guidance from their parents,” she said, “The book will teach students how to be a good person in the online world.”

After her daughter was born, Julie Aigner-Clark searched for ways to share her love of music and art with her child. So she borrowed some equipment, and began filming children’s videos in her own house. The Baby Einstein Company was born, and in just five years her business grew to more than $20 million in sales. And she is using her success to help others — producing child safety videos with John Walsh of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Julie says of her new program: “I believe it’s the most important thing that I have ever done. I believe that children have the right to live in a world that is safe. ”

No more batteries, no more chargers and no more wires. This is the 1 promised by “wireless power”, a means of broadcasting 2 through the air to laptops, iPods and other machines without the need for cables and sockets.

Experts believe that wireless electricity will 4 change the way in which we live. In a world without wires your machine would start 5 electricity as soon as you entered the room.
You would no longer have to 6 mobile phones running out of power because once you walked through the front door your mobile would start charging up – even while still in your bag or pocket. You’d never need to hunt for the right 7 again.
The technology works by turning electricity into an invisible laser (激光), then sends it across the room to a battery that 8 it back into electricity.
Currently the laser can only create enough electricity to power a small light about 10 meters away but experts say both the power and 9 will quickly increase.
The technology also 10 to save energy because it would only power products when needed.
