It was the last day of the final examination in a large eastern university. On the steps of one building, a group of students were talking about the exam that was going to begin in a few  1  . On their faces was confidence. This was their   2  exam—then on to graduation and jobs.

Some talked of jobs they already had, others talked of jobs they3   get. With the certainty of four years of college, they felt   4   and able to take control of the world.

The coming exam, they know, would be a(n)   5   task, as the professor had said they could bring    6   books and notes they wanted, requesting only that they did not 7       each other during the exam.

8   they entered the classroom. .The professor passed out the papers. And smiles   9   on the students’ faces as they found there were only five questions.

Three hours had passed   10   the professor began to collect the papers. The students no longer looked confident. On their faces was a frightened expression. Paper in hand, no one spoke as the professor faced the class.

He looked at the   11  faces before him and then asked, “How many completed all five questions ?”  12   a hand was raised .

“How many answered four?” Still no hand.

“Three? Two?” The students moved restlessly in their seats.

“One, then?” Certainly somebody finished   13   . But the class remained silent.

The professor put down the paper. “That is exactly what I   14  .” he said. “I just want you to know that, although you have completed four years of study, there are   15    many things about the   16   you don’t know. These questions you could not answer are relatively common in everyday   17  .” Then, smiling, he added, “You will all   18   this course, but remember—even though you are now college graduates, your education had just   19  .”

The years have weakened the name of the professor, but not the   20   he taught.

We all have to eat, but choosing the right foods can be hard. Many people also have trouble controlling how much they eat.

Instead of eating a reasonable quantity of fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and other healthy foods, lots of people eat too many hamburgers, cookies and chips. Many people just eat too much food in general.

One result is the spread of obesity, which has enlarged the waistlines of millions of adults and kids. The increase in obesity has led to an increase in the number of people with diabetes(糖尿病), heart disease, cancer and other diseases.

But for many other people, food has become their enemy. They worry so much about getting fat that they either severely limit what they eat or make themselves throw up right after eating. Doctors say that these people have eating disorders.

Eating disorders among teens are far less common than obesity, yet the health problems of eating disorders can be just as serious as obesity.

Not eating enough can lead to heart attacks, weak bones,, organ damage and fainting spells. Repeatedly throwing up causes chemical imbalances in the body, makes your teeth weak and destroys stomach lining (胃粘膜).

Researchers are doing research on what causes certain people to develop eating disorders, why some people are more in danger than in others, and what kind of education programs work best to prevent people from doing dangerous things to lose weight to stay slim.

It is very possible for a person with a disability to get a job. Depending on the type of disability a person has, there are many positions available. Of course, he must be realistic in choosing a job . If he has a physical disability, he should look for a job in which he can use his skills and abilities.

Some larger companies have programs for hiring people with disabilities. It is a good idea to get into touch with them, as they are much more enthusiastic to hiring people with disabilities due to their positive past experiences. Some disability-supporting groups may have lists of companies that have been helpful in the past, have a history of hiring disabled people or know of some working positions that are open to disabled people.

When talking with an employer about the job, one must be very honest. He should tell the employer about his disability. It is also important to know whether there are any sorts of tools or new technology that could help a person with disability do a job. For instance, when working with computers, there is a special software that allows one to tell it what to write instead of having to type it. Or a new type of wheelchair that allows one to do his job easier would also be a very good investment as it may be the key to getting a job. It is very important for a disabled person to realize that he should not suffer mistreatment of any kind from the employer. Although his abilities are slightly different from the majority of other working people, there is no reason for one to be treated badly. He should ask for a fair salary and fair treatment.
