    Encouragements can serve as a ray of hope during difficult times. The best ones to encourage a depressed soul are our friends.

It was 3 years ago when I just began to attend my high school. For the 1^st time I failed in an English exam where I had thought I could have done a better job, leaving me depressed. My best friend, Lily, tried every means to comfort me, offering her emotional support. She listened to me carefully and told me that Edison succeeded in inventing the 1^st electrical bulb after failing more than 300 times. Eventually, with her patient encouragement, I overcame my depress and was determined to try hard again. The next exam witnessed my great progress.

Encouragement is the best means to rid us of negative feelings. It can equip and motivate us to fight difficulties we may meet with in our life.
