Jennie told me in her last letter that her wish _______ an artist _______ come true.

  1. A.
    become;did
  2. B.
    becoming;would
  3. C.
    becomes;has
  4. D.
    to become;had
D
第一空选不定式to become an artist 作wish的定语,表示“成为艺术家的希望”;第二空选用had, had come true表明此事在“told”之前已经发生。
由于分词becoming与wish不构成逻辑上的主谓关系(becoming动作不是由、wish发出),故B项显然不可选。
