I live in a very old town which is surrounding by beautiful woods. It is a famous beauty spot. In Sundays, hundreds of people come from the city to see our town and to walk through the woods. Visitors have asked to keep the woods clean and tidy. Litter baskets have been placed under the trees, and people still throw their rubbish everywhere. Last Wednesday, I go for a walk in the woods. That I saw made me very sad. I counted seven old cars and three old refrigerators. The litter basket were empty and the ground was covered with pieces of paper, cigarette ends, old tyres, empty bottles or rusty tins. Among the rubbish, I found a sign which was said, “Anyone who leave litter in these woods will be prosecuted(依法处置)!”

As the high school student, I like to talk with foreigners to practise my oral English and learn more about other cultures. There were two foreign teachers in our school in this term. They often go to the English corner so that they can have a chance to practise the language. I seize every chance talk with them. However, I sometime find they are not so interested in which I say, and it’s hard to me to choose a suitable topic. I would like some advices about how to communicate proper with foreigners and what topics to pick.
Our class held a discussion about if music should be played during the break or not. The
opinions are divided. Most of students think that music should be played. As we know, music can produce a lively and happy atmosphere. However, after hard study music can bring us relaxation, which reduce the tiredness. This can help us make full preparations for the next class. Listen to
music also makes us feel happy. On the other hand, some students don’t think it. In their
opinion, they can’t get the expecting effect from playing music, for the class break time is too
short. What is needed most during the class break is peace instead noise produced by music. In my opinion, it is good to play some soft and peace music during the class break. In this way students can enjoy music as good as have a good rest.
