  In our daily life, we have so many difficulties and hardships that someone will be disappointed and give up the hope of success. However, when faced with difficulties and hardships, your attitude really counts.

    Once I took part in a speech contest. So difficult was the topic that I completely had no idea about it. Even the time for preparation was limited. I felt hopeless and wanted to give up. But deep in my heart I didn’t want to be a coward. So I recovered my courage and took the speech contest seriously. I said to myself, “If I try my best, I won’t feel regretful, no matter what the result is.” In the following days, I spared no effort and struggled for my goal. Eventually my efforts paid off. I won the first prize, which was much better than I had expected.

    Although the course of preparing for the contest is painful, I think I made a wise decision for I didn’t give up when facing difficulties. I owe my success to my bravery, persistence and positive attitude. As long as we face the difficulties bravely, “bright day” is just around the corner.
