Dear editor,

Recently our class have held a discussion about the advantages and disadvantages of advertisements.

We need advertisements because they can offer information on goods, service, culture, employment and so on. Customers can save a lot of time in shopping because of advertisements. In addition, advertisements help manufacturers find the market they want. The advertisement has become part of our daily life.

However, we also find advertisements a waste of time when we don’t need them. For example, when we’re watching TV, endless advertisements often interrupt us. To make things worse, some ads are false and misleading. Some customers even have lost their lives after using those products of poor quality. Furthermore, huge advertising costs are shared by customers, which seems to be unfair.

We all want to see more wonderful ads in our life, but at the same time, we should be smart about ads. I think advertising should be strictly managed by the government.
