Such opinions invite much concern. Personally, we students pick up English not only for the entry to a college but for a future career, which we can not actually foresee today. Anyhow, a foreign language can possibly take us that far. In case of that, English teaching should attach greater importance to the language skills rather than grammar and vocabulary to save time for other subjects.
