I used to be worried about what others thought of me. Finally, I changed. Remember that if you're wasting too much time looking for respect(尊重) from others, then you will not have time to finish all you desire(期望).Everyone has an opinion, but in fact others' opinions about you are based more on their history and perceptions(观念) than anything you're actually doing. Enjoy every moment of today. Don't wait to do or enjoy anything. Don't tell yourself you will do it tomorrow. If it is important to you, then do it today. Pay attention to what is happening now, the task at hand and all the choices you make today, big and small. Our future is set by what we decide and do today.
What happened yesterday is over. You can not change it. So let it go. Don't waste your energy considering anger or unhappiness. It only stops you from moving forward in life.
Look for the good in people. Celebrate the happy moments, big and small. Search for the chances for growth. Give helpful encouragement rather than unwanted criticism (批评). Be helpful whenever possible.

In 1996 John Jones made an unusual discovery. He had just enlarged (扩大) a piece of paper money for a friend—a Confederate bank note, money issued (发行) by banks in Southern States of America during the Civil War. When he was face to face with the picture, he couldn't believe his eyes: slaves (奴隶) happily picking cotton in their master's fields.
Jones grew up in South Carolina. He had heard painful stories of slavery from his greatgrandmother. The picture on the money did not match (匹配) the history of African American slaves that he'd heard all his life. “I had never seen that type of picture on money before,” he said.
Jones wondered why slaves looked so happy. He started doing research.
Searching for and finding the answers to his questions changed his life. During two years' search, Jones found more than 120 different bills. He discovered that the bills had several things in common. They showed slaves working in jobs related to farming. Many of them showed healthy and smiling slaves at work. None of the bills showed the hardships of slavery.
Jones wanted to share what he had learned. “I wanted other people to see what I had seen,” he said. He decided to make large paintings of the pictures on the money. After three years of work, Jones had painted more than 80 slavery scenes (场景).He paired each painting with the money on which the picture appeared. “The Color of Money”—an exhibit (展览) of his work—has toured the country.

Everyone in our village likes my father, so he has a sense of humor. In the other words, he can make people laugh easy and they feel happy to be around him. Admired his good personality is the main reason for me to dream that one day I can be as humor as him. I even asked him how have a good sense of humor, but what he replied disappointed me. “Not everyone can make other laugh, because those that are of humor are usually born to be so,” he said.
