参考答案：     We had been told that T was one of the most beautiful places in China. So when we got two days off, we hurriedly went over to have a look. We went there by ship, and it took us quite a long time to get there. We did not feel tired on the way as we had expected much. But when we got there, what we could see was only a piece of waste land with few trees and flowers. Then some of the villagers suggested that we should climb the nearby hill if we wanted to have a better view. So we could do nothing but take their advice. The path was by no means good, and when we reached the top, we could only see a broken monument, and nobody could find out for whom it was set up. When we got down the hill, it was so late that we had to stay in a hotel, the only one in that area. Of course we had to pay a lot. The next morning it was time for us to return as the ship was going to leave at nine. What a terrible trip it was!
