About 55 percent of the students in our school think it necessary for us to build a nuclear power plant in the city because it can produce cheaper electricity to meet the great need for power in our city。As nuclear material is used in the plant instead of coal，which causes air pollution when burned ，we can enjoy cleaner air。
On the other hand，about 45 percent of the students are against the construction of the plant for the following reasons。First ，the construction will cost a lot and we'll face the problem of dealing with the nuclear waste 。And then ，once accidents happen，many people will be killed by the nuclear radiation。
In my opinion ，there is no need for us to worry about the nuclear and radiation because we now have safe ways to solve the problems。
