Great changes have taken place in Chinese family life in the past 60 years. With the development of economics (经济).people's living conditions have improved greatly.

When my grandparents were young, they lived in dark and low houses and dressed in bad quality (质量)clothes. And they didn't have enough food, sometimes they couldn't eat for a long time. At that time, they dreamed of new clothes and enough food.
