A little young boy loved football with his all heart. But being half the size of the other boys, at all the games, the young boy sat on the bench and hardly ever had chances to play. His father was always standing there with cheering. He never missed a game.

This young boy was still the smallest of the class when he entered high school. But his father continued to encourage him but also made it very clear that he did not have to play football if he didn’t want to. But the boy loved football and decided to hang in there. All though high school he never missed any practice or a game but remained a bench-warmer all four years. His faithful father was always standing there with words of encouragement for him.

When the young son went to college, he became a member of the football team. This young athlete never missed practice during his four years at college, but he never got to play in a game. It was the end of his last football season, and as he began to practice, bad news came by telegram. His father died that morning.

After three days, it was time for the last game. The young man went to the coach and said, “Coach, please let me play. I’ve just got to play today.” Feeling sorry for the kid, the coach agreed finally. Before long, the coach, the players and everyone in the stands could not believe their eyes. This little unknown athlete, who had never played before, was doing everything right. Nobody could stop him. He ran, he passed, and at last, he won! He was really like a star.

He looked at the coach, with tears in his eyes, and said, “Well, you knew my dad died, but did you know that my dad was blind?” he continued, “Dad came to all my games, but today was the first time he could see me play, and I wanted to show him I could do it!”

Here are two amazing shops from the world.

 

One of the most famous department stores in New York City is Macy’s. There are over 850 Macy’s stores all over the US, but the flagship store is in Herald Square, Manhattan--- just around the corner form the Empire State Building. Interestingly, Rowland Macy, the company founder(创始人), opened his first shops between 1843 and 1855, but they weren’t successful.
