Music is an international language. Popular music in America is what every student likes.
Students carry small radios with earphones and listen to music before class, after class, and
at lunch. Students with cars buy large speakers and play the music loudly when they drive

This was started by cowboys who would sing at night to the cows they were watching. Today, any music about country boy and his girl is called western or country music. Serious music for the concert halls is called classical music. Music for instruments is called orchestra music, such as the symphonies(协奏曲) of Beethoven.

It’s hard to make friends if you stay at home alone all the time. Be outgoing(开朗的), get out of the house and do things with other people. It’s easier to make friends when you follow these:
Show people what you are good at. Talk about the things you like and you do best. People will be interested in you if there is something interesting.

Be a good listener. Let people talk about themselves before talking about yourself. Ask lots of questions. Show an interest in their answers.
Make friends with the people you really like, not just with those who are easy to meet. Be friendly to people. That way, you’ll have a bigger group of people to choose and more chances(机会)for making friends.
